Trans-European Testbed for Aerospace Applications

Description
PAGEIN aimed at characterisation, demonstration and exploitation of key features for high performance computing on IBC (Integrated Broadband Communications) usage by aerospace industries

Industrial predesign, like for example Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) was addressed on a European scale
by aerospace actors. For these end-users PAGEIN integrated, on top of wide area networks, applications and tools in supercomputing, visualization, multimedia.  demonstrated viability of such combined technologies through pilot experiments and assesedcost-efficiency through pilot industrial projects.

PAGEIN demonstrated more effective resource utilization by the support of distributed computing and collaborative engineering. Scarce resources like expertise, supercomputers, massively parallel computers and data servers were integrated seamlessly. PAGEIN enabled engineers to exploit the environment and reach critical mass without need for co-location.
